  • Complete a 12-month aeronautical/aerospace/mechanical engineering placement

  • Gain hands-on experience across engineering teams and locations

  • Contribute to the design, maintenance and optimization of advanced jet engines

  • Support engine work scoping, tooling development, repair industrialization, cost optimization and customer support

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and apply lean principles

  • Develop technical expertise in gas turbine fundamentals, engine architecture and shop production methods

  • Support GE9X product support engineering, overhaul shop preparation, tooling development, service bulletin updates and customer technical support

  • Support jet engine overhaul for GE90 and CFM engine types, repair specification implementation, production support and MRO process digitization

  • Support tooling development, hardware condition review, repair industrialization and work scope escalation management for GEnx customer technical programs

  • Deliver projects under structured goals and objectives with coaching and mentoring from the People Leader and engineering team


Requirements



  • Currently studying an Engineering-related Bachelor's or integrated Master's degree, including Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, General Engineering or similar

  • On course to achieve a 2:1 degree or above

  • Must be in the penultimate year of study and return to education after the placement

  • Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance required and must be maintained

  • Permanent right to work in the UK required; sponsorship is not available for Early Careers opportunities

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Able to work toward deadlines and take ownership of projects

  • Able to work as part of a team
