Provide medical leadership across Amgen's Cardiovascular portfolio as the local medical expert.
Co-lead brand strategy with cross-functional partners for designated products.
Adapt global and regional strategy to local priorities and plans.
Shape evidence generation and stakeholder engagement plans.
Engage external experts, professional organisations, and key stakeholders.
Partner with Marketing, Value & Access, and internal stakeholders on lifecycle planning and patient access initiatives.
Contribute to UK and Ireland affiliate strategy and tactical planning.
Support evidence generation planning, company-sponsored studies, and investigator-sponsored study proposal reviews.
Work with clinical operations to identify sites and investigators for future research.
Lead and develop assigned team members through line management, coaching, performance development, capability building, and resource planning.
Deliver therapy area and product-specific medical training.
Provide medical review and approval support for promotional and non-promotional materials.

Requirements

  • Degree educated.
  • Medical affairs experience gained within a pharmaceutical or biotechnology company.
  • Previous people management and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programmes, or resources is desirable but not essential.
  • A genuine interest in people leadership is essential.
  • Proven experience as a final ABPI signatory.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while building strong cross-functional partnerships.
  • Strategic thinking, commercial acumen, agility, and effective communication.
  • Product/therapeutic area knowledge within cardiovascular experience is preferred.
