- Lead and oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and analysis
- Partner with the CFO and executive leadership team to develop and execute the company’s financial strategy
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
- Drive financial performance monitoring and provide actionable insights to support operational efficiency and profitability
- Manage financial risks, ensure regulatory compliance, and uphold corporate governance standards
- Oversee cash flow management, capital allocation, and investment decisions
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to enhance skills and performance
- Collaborate with Manufacturing Operations, Engineering, and Commercial functions to align financial goals with business objectives
- Support financing and capital raising processes
- Maintain strong relationships with auditors, tax advisors, banks, and other financial partners
- Partner with the CFO and provide interim leadership to the Finance team during a circa six-month assignment
Requirements
- Proven experience and track record at FD level
- Candidates will ideally hold a professional qualification such as ACA/ACCA/CIMA, or possess equivalent experience
- Strong track record of influencing senior stakeholders and driving business performance
- Strong proficiency in financial systems and ERP software
- Expertise in financial planning, analysis and reporting
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex financial information into clear insights
- Strong commercial acumen and strategic mindset
- Experience in a scaling technology, deep-tech, semiconductor or manufacturing environment (desirable)
- Experience building or transforming FP&A functions in a high-growth business (desirable)
- Exposure to capital-intensive or product-led business models (desirable)
- Ability to start by late September/early October at the latest
- Cambridge-based or within reasonable commuting distance
