Project Risk Manager in Bury

• Facilitate and lead all aspects of the risk management process in compliance with the risk management plan
• Author the Contract Risk Management Plan, including annual updates
• Facilitate monthly risk reviews with risk owners to maintain risk-data quality
• Publish monthly risk registers
• Generate monthly reports for key risk roles
• Uphold and review risk-product quality against associated risk standards
• Prepare risk data and undertake routine risk analysis
• Provide first-line risk management support to one or more contracted client projects
• Support Contract/Project teams in implementing effective risk management aligned with Costain standards and client contractual requirements
• Collate and analyse risk data
• Report and escal… risk-management matters through internal risk-governance channels and client contractual mechanisms
• Support delivery of the £240m Simister Island M60/M62/M66 interchange improvement project north of Manchester

Requirements

• Project Risk qualification, for example APM Risk Cert 1&2
• APM PFQ
• Or equivalent qualifications or experience
• Ability to apply and operate core requirements of a standard project risk process, including maintenance of risk registers
• Experience of planning collaborative risk activities using a range of techniques to facilitate project / programme teams to identify, define, evaluate, respond to and report on risks to project objectives
• Awareness and experience of using qualitative and quantitative risk assessment criteria
• Experience supporting risk owners with identification of controls and risk responses
• Desirable: awareness and/or experience of supporting contract/commercial level risk management activities
• Bachelor’s degree in risk management, project management or a relevant technical subject is desirable
• Driving required
• No security clearance required
