Responsibilities

  • Daily operations issue management and resolution
  • Management of accidents and breakdowns
  • Ensuring any issues that threaten the quality of service are escalated to the appropriate management level
  • Manage and ensure all legislative requirements are complied with, in connection to health and safety, WTD, O-licence legislation, tachograph laws and employment law
  • Controlling and managing all drivers and your team's shift patterns
  • Manage, motivate, coach and develop staff to achieve stringent customer targets

Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience within a similar role
  • Experience supervising a team
  • Operational understanding of a transport environment
  • National CPC desirable
  • Understanding of key operational cost drivers and P&L or cost centre management
  • Experience of managing conflicting priorities in a fast-moving environment
