Overview

As the Breast Pathway Coordinator you will be responsible for the delivery of a coordinated breast care service across Cromwell hospital and clinic sites.

Under the general guidance of the Breast Care Service Manager/Lead Mammographer, you will manage activities in symptomatic breast clinics and provide a link between the hospital, patients, consultants and other service users.

You will coordinate patient registration, preparation of outpatient accounts, receipting payments for hospital services, booking follow-up appointments and further diagnostic examinations utilizing RIS and reconcile imaging requests with Compucare.

You will interact with patients, consultants, staff and visitors to create a service experience aligned with the BUPA code: putting customers at the centre of the service.

You will ensure radiologist and surgical cover for all breast pathway sessions at Cromwell, Basinghall and Canary Wharf, escalating concerns to the breast services lead or divisional manager as appropriate.

You will attend fortnightly breast services meetings, raise any clinical or operational concerns, and coordinate a patient journey across multiple sites to ensure timely diagnostics.

You will ensure all biopsy patients have results returned, escalate non-returns as appropriate in line with service KPIs, monitor clinic utilisation across sites and alert management to any areas of concern.

You will train administrative staff to support one stop breast clinics, offering training with RIS, BOSS and Compucare where needed.

You will have strong coverage across Reception areas as required and actively greet patients and visitors in a warm, respectful and courteous manner to promote the Cromwell Hospital and BUPA clinics brand.
