  • Establish and implement subcontract strategies
  • Define, develop, and maintain documented district sourcing strategies using market and competitive data
  • Negotiate price, payment terms, and delivery- and performance-related terms with suppliers and subcontractors to achieve post-award savings
  • Build and maintain supplier and subcontractor relationships
  • Drive use of preferred subcontractors and negotiated catalogues
  • Support cost-estimate development during the proposal phase
  • Engage Sales and estimating teams in front-end planning and develop project sourcing plans
  • Initiate RFPs, review and analyze responses, and guide subcontractor selection
  • Identify and qualify subcontractors according to Honeywell HBS policies
  • Review and negotiate subcontractor modifications to Honeywell standard terms and conditions
  • Prepare subcontractor contracts back-to-back with customer contracts
  • Re-negotiate supplier and subcontractor offers during the post-award phase
  • Achieve savings through re-bidding, final negotiations, and value engineering while ensuring quality standards
  • Monitor subcontractor performance, communicate with stakeholders, and remedy unsatisfactory performance
  • Increase adoption of procurement tools, including e-sourcing
  • Drive continuous improvement in purchase-order compliance and sourcing efficiency
  • Support compliance with Honeywell purchasing policies
  • Collaborate with sourcing team members and foster professional growth and high performance
  • Conduct training on sourcing best practices and market intelligence
  • Represent Supply within local leadership teams and align business and functional goals
  • Lead the supply function as the district focal point
  • Coordinate supply initiatives and support teams including BSC, Category Management, Indirect, and Division teams

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or University diploma – technical degree preferred
  • 5-8 years business experience preferred, including 3-5 years in a relevant sourcing-related capacity
  • Proven experience in subcontractor negotiations
  • Comprehensive understanding of commercial terms and conditions related to procurement of goods and services, and supply contracts
  • Experience in project business-related procurement, e.g. construction business or plant construction
  • Experience with SAP, Oracle, or similar procurement systems preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Experience managing statements of work requirements and subcontractor deliverables with supply teams and Engineering/Technical individuals
  • Self-motivated, able to perform with minimal supervision, take ownership, and demonstrate urgency
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with internal customers and subcontractors
  • Experience in a multicultural environment
  • Fluent in English
