Responsibilities
- Lead and promote a strong safety culture aligned with our βRoad to Zeroβ strategy.
- Drive continuous improvement in quality, health, safety, and environmental practices across multiple sites.
- Ensure compliance with legislation and corporate standards through effective implementation and monitoring of QHSE policies and procedures.
- Review and create Risk Assessments (task, COSHH, fire, first aid, workplace transport, environment) and Safe Systems of Work for all tasks carried out within the Warehouse, Transport and Engineering departments.
- Review and update Refrigeration Procedures in line with legislation and best practice.
- Interpret and adopt advice from Refrigeration SMEs into procedures and policies.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years in a senior safety management role at site or contract level.
- NEBOSH Level 6 Diploma or equivalent with current active CPD.
- Experience of warehouse, transport and engineering operations.
- Level 3 qualifications in engineering / refrigeration / related subject (desirable).
- Level 2 HACCP (desirable).
- Experience of high-hazard environments / equipment management including those falling under DSEAR, PSSR and PUWER.
- Full UK Driving License.
