Responsibilities
- Working closely with the Script Editor, writers and wider production team, you\'ll play a vital role in supporting the editorial process throughout production.
- You\'ll help manage script revisions, maintain continuity, distribute amended script pages and ensure that editorial information flows effectively between writers, production and post-production teams.
- Tracking script drafts, revisions and production amendments throughout filming.
- Preparing, proofreading and distributing amended script pages.
- Managing script version control and maintaining accurate amendment records.
- Attending editorial and production meetings, taking clear notes and action points.
- Monitoring continuity across scripts, episodes and shooting schedules.
- Supporting script proofing, formatting and production draft preparation.
- Assisting with editorial checks, compliance reviews and script-related research.
- Maintaining character biographies, story summaries, synopses and editorial trackers.
- Communicating script updates clearly across departments.
- Supporting production teams with script-related queries during filming.
- Assisting with post-production documentation and delivery materials.
- Building strong working relationships with writers, production teams and creative stakeholders.
Requirements
- Experience working in scripted television as an Assistant Script Editor or Script Editor, with at least one professional credit.
- Experience providing administrative, editorial or production support in a professional environment.
- Strong written communication skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Experience producing accurate documentation such as meeting notes, script reports or research summaries.
- The ability to organise and prioritise multiple tasks to tight deadlines.
- Working knowledge of using Final Draft. Experience using production management systems.
- A good understanding of script development, script editing or scripted production processes.
- A genuine passion for high-end television drama and scripted storytelling.
- Outstanding organisational skills and attention to detail.
- The ability to manage multiple script revisions while maintaining accuracy.
- Strong editorial judgement and an understanding of dramatic storytelling.
- Confidence working with writers, production teams and creative stakeholders.
- Flexibility and resilience when responding to changing priorities and last-minute amendments.
- Professionalism, discretion and the ability to handle confidential information.
- Knowledge of television drama production and script editing workflows.
