Our client is looking to recruit an organised and proactive Transport Planner / Loader to join their busy Transport team.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established business where you'll play a key role in ensuring products are delivered safely, accurately and on time.
This is a varied position that combines transport planning with practical warehouse and loading responsibilities.
You'll work closely with the Transport Manager to support the daily planning of delivery routes and schedules while ensuring vehicles are loaded efficiently and in line with operational priorities.

The Role
As Transport Planner / Loader, you'll be responsible for supporting the day-to-day transport operation by assisting with route planning, maintaining transport records and communicating with internal departments to ensure deliveries run smoothly.
Alongside your planning responsibilities, you'll also take an active role in loading vehicles, checking products against delivery documentation and preparing vehicles for on-time dispatch.
Health and Safety is central to the role, and you'll be expected to follow company procedures, maintain excellent housekeeping standards and ensure all loading activities are carried out safely.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Transport Manager with daily transport planning and route scheduling.
- Update transport systems and maintain accurate transport documentation.
- Coordinate with Production, Warehouse and Customer Services to ensure customer delivery requirements are met.
- Monitor vehicle availability and loading priorities.
- Load vehicles safely, accurately and in accordance with loading plans.
- Check products against delivery paperwork and report any discrepancies.
- Prioritise loading to ensure vehicles depart on schedule.
- Report damaged products, shortages or operational issues.
- Maintain high standards of Health & Safety and housekeeping.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve daily dispatch targets and deliver excellent customer service.
About You
The successful candidate will be organised, dependable and able to balance planning and administrative duties with hands-on operational work.
You'll be comfortable working under pressure, managing competing priorities and communicating effectively with colleagues across different departments.
