We're partnering with an established and growing manufacturing business that is committed to quality, innovation and sustainability.
They are looking for an experienced Quality Manager to take ownership of the Quality Management System across two manufacturing sites, ensuring products consistently meet customer, regulatory and business standards.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys driving continuous improvement, leading quality initiatives and working collaboratively across multiple departments within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
The Role As Quality Manager, you'll take the lead in maintaining and developing the Quality Management System while driving quality performance across both sites.
You'll work closely with production, engineering and supply chain teams to improve processes, manage supplier quality and ensure full compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, maintain and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS).
- Plan and manage internal, supplier and third-party audits, ensuring successful outcomes and timely completion of corrective actions.
- Investigate customer complaints, internal quality issues and non-conformances using Root Cause Analysis and implement effective Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
- Manage supplier approval processes, supplier risk assessments and ongoing supplier performance.
- Conduct supplier audits and oversee supplier compliance.
- Monitor and analyse quality KPIs, identifying trends and opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Work collaboratively with Production, Engineering and Supply Chain teams to improve manufacturing performance and product quality.
- Lead, coach and develop the Quality team, promoting a culture of quality, accountability and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with customer requirements, industry standards and relevant legislation across both manufacturing sites.
About You You'll have previous experience leading quality within a manufacturing environment and be passionate about driving improvements and maintaining the highest standards.
Essential
- Proven experience in a Quality Manager or senior Quality leadership role within manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS).
- Experience conducting internal, supplier and third-party audits.
- Strong understanding of supplier quality management and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience carrying out Root Cause Analysis and implementing CAPA.
- Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly between manufacturing sites. Desirable
- Experience within plastics, polymers, packaging, recycling or another process manufacturing environment.
- Degree, HND or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Management or a related discipline.
- ISO 9001 Lead Auditor qualification.
- HACCP qualification.
