Full-time position – 11-hour shifts- Monday – Friday, hours of work each day will be 18:30pm – 05:30am. The successful candidate will be instrumental in planning and optimising transportation routes while ensuring efficient supply chain operations. This role demands strong analytical abilities, effective communication, and the capability to multitask in a fast-paced setting. Duties * Create and implement transport plans to optimize routes and minimize costs. * Work closely with supply chain teams to guarantee timely delivery of goods. * Analyse data to identify trends and make informed logistics decisions. * Manage relationships with customers and drivers, delivering exceptional service and promptly addressing any concerns. * Use IT systems, including TOPS, VBS, Excel and Word, to maintain accurate records and generate reports. * Lead initiatives focused on enhancing transport efficiency and effectiveness. * Coordinate with various departments to ensure smooth operations within the office environment. Requirements * Proven experience in transport planning within the container sector, is essential. * Strong proficiency in English, both written and spoken, for effective communication. * Previous experience with operating systems – TOPS (container transport system) Various VBS systems, Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to manage client expectations. * Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook. * Demonstrated leadership abilities with an emphasis on teamwork and collaboration. * Strong IT skills, with a quick adaptability to new software and technologies. * Exceptional organisational skills and keen attention to detail. * An understanding of the container industry and prior experience with container planning and port booking on and off systems is essential.
