Jobsworth Recruitment are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Area Safety Advisor to join our client based in London. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring a safe working environment by implementing safety protocols, conducting training sessions, and monitoring compliance with health and safety regulations. This position requires a proactive approach to identifying potential hazards and developing strategies to mitigate risks within the workplace.

Location: London

Salary: £40,000 to £50,000 dependent on experience and relevant qualifications +10% car allowance/PCP Allowance

Hours: Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm (40 hours per week)

Duties:

  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures in accordance with legal requirements and best practices.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on health and safety practices, emergency procedures, and the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Collaborate with management to promote a culture of safety throughout the organisation.
  • Prepare reports on safety performance metrics and present findings to management for review.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, legislation changes, and best practices in occupational health and safety.

Requirements:

  • A degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field is preferred.
  • Nebosh Construction
  • White CSCS Card
  • Tier 1 Main Contract Experience
  • Proven experience in a health and safety role, ideally within a similar industry.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation, regulations, and standards.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage employees at all levels.
  • Strong analytical skills for assessing risks and developing effective solutions.
  • Certification in First Aid/CPR is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in using safety management software or tools is desirable but not essential.
