Area Safety Advisor

Jobsworth Recruitment are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Area Safety Advisor to join our client based in London. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring a safe working environment by implementing safety protocols, conducting training sessions, and monitoring compliance with health and safety regulations. This position requires a proactive approach to identifying potential hazards and developing strategies to mitigate risks within the workplace.\\n\\nLocation- London\\n\\nSalary- £40,000 to £50,000 dependent on experience and relevant qualifications +10% car allowance/PCP Allowance\\n\\nHours- Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm (40 hours per week)\\n\\nDuties\\n\\n * Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.\\n\\n * Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures in accordance with legal requirements and best practices.\\n\\n * Provide training and guidance to employees on health and safety practices, emergency procedures, and the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).\\n\\n * Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.\\n\\n * Collaborate with management to promote a culture of safety throughout the organisation.\\n\\n * Prepare reports on safety performance metrics and present findings to management for review.\\n\\n * Stay updated on industry trends, legislation changes, and best practices in occupational health and safety.\\n\\nRequirements\\n\\n * A degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field is preferred.\\n\\n * Nebosh Construction\\n\\n * White CSCS Card\\n\\n * Tier 1 Main Contract Experience\\n\\n * Proven experience in a health and safety role, ideally within a similar industry.\\n\\n * Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation, regulations, and standards.\\n\\n * Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage employees at all levels.\\n\\n * Strong analytical skills for assessing risks and developing effective solutions.\\n\\n * Certification in First Aid/CPR is an advantage.\\n\\n * Proficiency in using safety management software or tools is desirable but not essential
