A well-established and growing materials handling company is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to join its expanding service team covering Essex and surrounding areas. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer who enjoys working independently, solving technical problems and delivering high levels of customer service.
The Role
- You will be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing a range of material handling equipment at customer sites, ensuring maximum uptime and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned servicing and preventive maintenance
- Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical and hydraulic faults
- Attend breakdowns and provide effective on-site solutions
- Complete service documentation and reports accurately
- Deliver excellent customer service at all times
- Adhere to company health & safety procedures
Requirements
- Previous experience working on forklifts, plant, agricultural or material handling equipment
- Strong mechanical, electrical and hydraulic fault-finding skills
- Ability to work independently in a field-based role
- Good communication and customer-facing skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Engineering qualifications advantageous but not essential
