We are recruiting for an experienced Transport Planner to join a busy logistics operation in Telford. The role involves planning and coordinating daily transport routes, ensuring efficient use of vehicles and drivers, and maintaining high levels of service across deliveries and collections.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and allocate daily routes for drivers
- Monitor live transport operations and respond to delays or issues
- Communicate with drivers, warehouse teams, and customers
- Ensure compliance with driver hours, WTD, and transport regulations
- Maintain accurate system records and update schedules in real time
- Support continuous improvement of planning efficiency
- Previous transport planning or logistics experience required
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel
- Strong UK geography knowledge
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make quick decisions
