We're looking for a confident, relationship-driven Account Manager to join a fast-paced logistics recruitment team managing both existing and newly won national accounts. This is a hybrid role based around the Wolverhampton area, with regular travel required to client sites across the UK. You'll be the go-to person for keeping operations running smoothly, maintaining strong client relationships, and ensuring driver coverage across a variety of shifts and contracts.
What you'll be doing:
- Managing a portfolio of logistics clients, including national accounts
- Building strong relationships with both clients and drivers
- Coordinating driver bookings and shift coverage
- Persuading and motivating drivers to cover shifts at short notice or outside their usual preferences
- Supporting new business onboarding and helping grow existing accounts
- Handling escalations and solving operational challenges quickly and professionally
- Working closely with recruitment and operations teams to ensure service levels are met
What we're looking for:
- Previous experience within logistics recruitment, transport, driving desks, or workforce planning
- Strong account management or client-facing experience
- A natural communicator with the ability to influence, negotiate, and build rapport easily
- Ability to think on your feet and manage high-pressure situations
- Organised, proactive, and commercially minded
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally when required
