CNC Machinists Wanted – Precision Engineering

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced CNC Programmer / Setter / Operator to join a well-established precision engineering manufacturer based in Halesowen.

This is a hands-on role within a busy machine shop, manufacturing high-precision tooling and dies for the forging industry. We're looking for an engineer who is confident programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines while maintaining exceptional quality standards.

The Role

• Program, set and operate CNC milling machines.
• Produce one-off and small batch precision tooling and dies.
• Work from detailed engineering drawings to tight tolerances.
• Create, edit and optimise CNC programs using Fanuc and Heidenhain controls.
• Select tooling, set machine offsets and prove out new programs.
• Carry out first-off and in-process inspections.
• Maintain high standards of quality, accuracy and housekeeping.

Machinery

Experience with any of the following machinery would be advantageous:

• Skymaster
• Kiheung
• Correa
• Bridgeport

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines.
• Experience using Fanuc and/or Heidenhain controls is essential.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience machining precision components to tight tolerances.
• Strong attention to detail and a quality-focused approach.
• Able to work independently and as part of an experienced engineering team.
