Laser Setter Operator to join a well-established engineering company in Dudley.

This is an excellent opportunity to secure a long-term position with a busy manufacturer that offers consistent hours, a supportive working environment and the opportunity to secure a permanent contract.

  • Week 1 - Morning Shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Week 2 - Afternoon Shift
  • Monday to Thursday: 2:00pm - 11:30pm

The Role

As a Laser Setter Operator, you'll be responsible for setting and operating laser cutting machinery, ensuring production runs efficiently while maintaining the highest quality standards.

Your duties will include

  • Setting and operating flatbed laser cutting machines.
  • Loading and unloading sheet metal.
  • Sorting finished components ready for dispatch.
  • Carrying out quality inspections on completed parts.
  • Reading and working from engineering drawings.
  • Completing routine machine checks and basic maintenance.
  • Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working area.
  • Working to production targets while following all health and safety procedures.

What We're Looking For

The successful candidate will have

  • Previous experience setting laser cutting machinery.
  • Experience operating flatbed laser machines.
  • The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • A manufacturing, engineering or sheet metal background.
  • Good attention to detail and a quality-focused approach.
  • A reliable attitude and strong work ethic.

A valid, in-date Counterbalance Forklift licence would be advantageous, although this is not essential.
