The Role
- Working within a skilled engineering team, you'll be responsible for programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines, producing precision components to exact customer specifications.
- Key responsibilities include:
- Programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines.
- Creating, editing and proving CNC programs using Fanuc and Heidenhain controls.
- Manufacturing forging dies, tooling and bespoke engineered components.
- Producing one-off and small batch work to tight tolerances.
- Selecting tooling and setting machine offsets.
- Inspecting finished components to ensure they meet customer specifications.
- Reading and interpreting detailed engineering drawings.
- Working closely with colleagues to meet production schedules and delivery deadlines.
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work area.
About You
- To be successful in this role you'll have:
- Previous experience as a CNC Miller – Programmer / Setter / Operator.
- Strong knowledge of both Fanuc and Heidenhain control systems.
- The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Experience producing precision components to tight tolerances.
- Experience manufacturing forging dies or tooling would be advantageous.
- Excellent attention to detail and pride in producing quality workmanship.
- A positive attitude and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
