Role Summary and Impact The Account Executive in Planning is a foundational role within our client teams, working across two key accounts. These include TJX, one of our long-standing client accounts. This is the umbrella company of the much-loved high street brands TKMaxx and Homesense. Also, one of our brand new clients Avanti which is part of the FirstGroup. The AE provides essential support in the development, execution, and reporting of media strategies. This role is perfect for a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic individual eager to launch their career in media planning. You will work closely with Account Managers and Directors, gaining exposure to all facets of media strategy, from initial client brief to campaign launch and post-campaign analysis. Key Responsibilities Client & Team Support:Act as a key support for the Account Manager and wider planning team, assisting with day-to-day client communication and internal coordination.Help prepare materials for client meetings, including presentations, reports, and competitive analyses.Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, campaign trackers, and internal documentation.Support the team in managing timelines and deliverables to ensure campaigns are launched on schedule.Media Planning & Strategy Assistance:Assist in the research and data gathering phase for media planning, utilizing various industry tools (e.g., TGI, Yougov, Google Analytics, bespoke agency tools).Support the team in understanding client briefs and translating them into actionable media objectives.Help to develop media plans, contributing to channel selection, audience targeting, and budget allocation under supervision.Stay informed about media trends, new platforms, and emerging technologies to contribute fresh ideas.Campaign Management & Optimisation:Coordinate with activation teams (e.g., Paid social, Digital, AV) to ensure seamless execution of media plans.Assist in monitoring campaign performance, flagging any issues or opportunities for optimisation to the Account Manager.Help to compile and analyse campaign data for reporting purposes.Reporting & Analysis:Support the creation of post-campaign reports, pulling data and insights to demonstrate campaign effectiveness.Assist in competitive analysis, tracking competitor activity and spend.Contribute to the development of actionable insights from data.Financial Administration:Assist with budget tracking, reconciliation, and billing processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to financial procedures.Help manage client POs and ensure all financial paperwork is in order.Learning & Development:Actively participate in internal training sessions and industry events.Proactively seek out opportunities to learn about different media channels, planning methodologies, and client industries.Embrace feedback and continuously strive for personal and professional growth.Skills and Experience At WPP Media, we believe in the power of our culture and our people.
