Finance Assistant Manager (Healthcare Grants & Shared Services Accounting)

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to oversee the financial operations of departments under Operations Shared Services, as well as manage grant-related accounting functions. This is a pivotal role supporting strategic cost recovery, budgeting, and funded programme tracking.

What you\’ll be doing

• Oversee financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting for shared services departments
• Review and perform cost allocations and support the development of cost recovery strategies
• Lead a team in managing accounting and reporting for funded programmes in research, education, regional health, and talent development
• Manage all aspects of grant accounting, including reviewing grant claims, preparing reports for grantors, tracking fund usage, and supporting audit processes
• Ensure timely and accurate reconciliations, reimbursements, and compliance with funding requirements
• Liaise closely with internal departments and external stakeholders to provide accounting support and insights
• Support ad hoc financial tasks and initiatives assigned

What we\’re looking for

• Bachelor Degree in Accountancy/ Finance; with CA/CPA qualification
• 6 – 8 years of relevant experience, preferably at least 2 years in grants management/ funding
• Strong understanding of accounting standards, budgeting cycles, and fund tracking
• Proficient in analysing financial data, cost allocation, and audit preparation
• Effective communicator with team leadership experience
• Prior experience in healthcare or public institutions is preferred
