Key Responsibilities
NEC Configuration & Environment Management
- Act as the technical subject matter expert for NEC platforms and associated modules.
- Manage and maintain system configurations across Development, Test, Training, Pre-Production, and Production environments.
- Ensure configuration consistency and control to minimise deployment conflicts and operational risks.
- Monitor system performance, reliability, and availability across all environments.
- Lead technical discussions with NEC and third-party suppliers regarding upgrades, patches, releases, and defect resolution.
- Maintain technical documentation, configuration standards, and environment governance procedures.
Release & Deployment Management
- Plan and coordinate application releases, deployments, maintenance windows, and environment refreshes.
- Establish and manage release management processes, ensuring proper testing and approvals before production deployment.
- Develop rollback plans and contingency procedures to minimise service disruption.
- Support change management activities and provide technical sign-off for releases.
- Work closely with project teams, business analysts, testers, and service managers to ensure successful delivery.
Integration Management & Quality Assurance
- Design, test, troubleshoot, and support integrations between NEC systems and third-party applications.
- Validate API functionality, data exchanges, interfaces, and middleware solutions.
- Conduct impact assessments for system changes and integrations.
- Implement quality assurance processes and technical stage gates throughout the development lifecycle.
- Ensure all releases meet agreed technical, security, and performance standards.
Data Governance & Security
- Lead data migration activities including planning, validation, reconciliation, and post-migration assurance.
- Ensure compliance with GDPR, data protection legislation, and security policies.
- Manage production database cloning activities and ensure appropriate masking of sensitive information.
- Maintain data quality standards and establish controls to protect data integrity.
- Support audit requirements and technical compliance activities.
Technical Leadership
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to developers, analysts, and support teams.
- Promote best practice in system configuration, deployment, security, and governance.
- Identify opportunities for service improvements, automation, and optimisation.
- Contribute to technology roadmaps and future platform development strategies.
- Act as an escalation point for complex technical issues.
