Electrician – Kingston

Van & Fuel Card 40 hours per week

We are currently recruiting for an Electrician to join a busy social housing maintenance contract covering Kingston and the surrounding areas.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Electrician looking for a long-term role within a well-established maintenance team, carrying out electrical repairs and maintenance across occupied and void residential properties.

As an Electrician, you will be responsible for carrying out a range of electrical maintenance and repair works within social housing properties.

Your duties will include:

  • Carrying out electrical repairs, maintenance and fault finding
  • Completing electrical installation and repair works within occupied properties
  • Working across kitchens, bathrooms and general residential areas
  • Carrying out testing and inspection where required
  • Diagnosing electrical faults and completing remedial works
  • Working to relevant electrical and health & safety regulations
  • Completing job sheets and updating relevant systems
  • Providing a professional service to residents and customers
  • Working closely with the wider maintenance team

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience working as an Electrician
  • Experience within social housing, housing maintenance or domestic maintenance is highly desirable
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • Good knowledge of electrical regulations and safe working practices
  • A full UK driving licence
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • The ability to work independently and manage a daily workload
  • 18th Edition
  • NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in Electrical Installation or equivalent
  • Relevant electrical testing qualifications
  • Full UK driving licence
