KS1 Teaching Assistant

Hounslow Primary School Full-Time ASAP Start 07:50–15:50 Competitive Pay

We are currently looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic KS1 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Hounslow, with an ASAP start available.

The successful candidate will have experience working with children in KS1 and a strong understanding of the Little Wandle phonics programme. You will work closely with the class teacher to support pupils with their learning, development and engagement throughout the school day.

The Role

  • Supporting pupils across KS1 with their learning and development
  • Supporting and delivering Little Wandle phonics sessions
  • Helping children develop their early reading, writing and phonics skills
  • Providing support during whole-class, group and independent activities
  • Encouraging children's confidence, independence and positive behaviour
  • Working closely with the class teacher and wider school team
  • Creating a positive, nurturing and engaging classroom environment

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who is caring, patient, reliable and enthusiastic, with a genuine passion for working with young children.

Essential:

  • Previous experience working within a primary/KS1 setting
  • Good knowledge of Little Wandle phonics
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A positive and proactive approach

Hours: 07:50–15:50, Monday to Friday
Start: ASAP
Location: Hounslow
