Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine grounds maintenance and horticultural works across parks, gardens, open spaces, and landscaped areas.
- Mow grass, strim, edge, weed, prune, hedge cut, and maintain planted areas to agreed standards.
- Plant and maintain flowers, shrubs, trees, and seasonal bedding displays.
- Water, fertilise, and care for plants to promote healthy growth and appearance.
- Operate and maintain horticultural machinery, hand tools, and grounds maintenance equipment safely and effectively.
- Undertake turf management and sports pitch maintenance activities where required.
- Assist with tree, shrub, and woodland maintenance activities.
- Maintain pathways, borders, fences, and other landscape features.
- Monitor plant health and identify pests, diseases, or environmental issues.
- Ensure all work is undertaken in accordance with health and safety procedures and safe working practices.
