Responsibilities
- To provide knowledge, understanding and execution of installation, repairs and maintenance of Non-illuminated furniture and public realm lighting including highways, parks, open spaces and housing managed land and infrastructure.
- To carry out planned preventative maintenance and responsive repairs of non- illuminated furniture and lighting in the public realm with due consideration to any skills and capability requirements.
- To excavate and install lamp columns and posts, bollards, feeder pillars and all other non-illuminated street furniture.
- To operate all appropriate tools, plant and equipment needed in delivery of services
- To identify tools and materials needed for works, maintaining stock impress for materials, parts and tools, ensuring effective and efficient use of resources for service delivery.
- To operate vehicle based, handheld and or remote working technology in delivery of service.
- To plan and organise a variable workload in order to meet deadlines to the required standards
- To read and interpret provided on site specifications and drawings
- To ensure all works are carried out with regard to and in accordance with, all appropriate regulations and contract specifications.
- To utilise all Personal Protective Clothing and Equipment in line with designated tasks and adhere to method statements, risk assessments, codes of practice and all appropriate legislation and regulations.
- Provide an immediate repair or make safe response to items that have been identified as βriskβ issues in the Public Realm.
- To gather and record data for information systems managing asset inventories and attributes.
- To be a uniformed presence and contact point for members of the public and other staff and to liaise with.
