Duties as a Design Technology Teacher:
- Teach Design Technology across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Plan and deliver engaging practical and theory-based lessons
- Inspire creativity, innovation, and technical skills
- Assess, monitor, and report on student progress
- Maintain a safe and effective learning environment
- Encourage students to develop confidence and independence
- Contribute positively to the wider school community
Ideal Design Technology Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching Design Technology within a secondary setting
- Strong subject knowledge and practical workshop skills
- Excellent classroom management abilities
- Ability to engage and motivate learners of all abilities
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
