Senior Ecologist needed for hybrid position Paying Β£45.43 per hr ref OR117995

Full time hours on a temporarybasis

  • Key Responsibilities
    • Undertake ecological surveys, habitat assessments, and site inspections to support a range of projects.
    • Conduct Preliminary Ecological Appraisals (PEAs), habitat surveys, and protected species surveys.
    • Assess ecological constraints, risks, and opportunities associated with development proposals.
    • Prepare high-quality ecological reports, impact assessments, management plans, and technical documentation.
    • Deliver Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) assessments and support habitat creation and enhancement initiatives.
    • Provide ecological advice to project teams, clients, and stakeholders throughout project lifecycles.
    • Design and oversee ecological mitigation, compensation, and enhancement measures.
    • Ensure compliance with environmental legislation, planning policy, and industry guidance.
    • Assist with protected species licensing applications and monitoring requirements where necessary.
    • Liaise with planning authorities, regulatory bodies, contractors, and other stakeholders.
    • Utilise GIS and mapping software to analyse and present ecological data.
    • Monitor ecological works on site and provide ecological clerk of works (ECoW) support where required.
    • Maintain accurate records, survey data, and project documentation.
    • Contribute to business development activities, tender submissions, and client relationship management.
    • Promote best practice in biodiversity conservation and sustainable environmental management.
