Class 2 Refuse Driver / Loader – Croydon
Location: Croydon
Pay: £22.86 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday
Job Type: Temp to Perm
Licence: Class 2 (Cat C)
We are currently recruiting for Class 2 Refuse Drivers / Loaders to join a busy waste and recycling operation in Croydon.
The Role
You will be responsible for driving a Class 2 refuse collection vehicle while also working as part of the crew to collect waste from residential and commercial properties across the local area.
Duties will include:
- Driving a Class 2 RCV safely and responsibly
- Working alongside loaders to complete waste collections
- Loading and emptying bins
- Residential and commercial refuse collections
- Carrying out vehicle checks before and during shifts
- Following designated routes and site procedures
- Maintaining high standards of health and safety
Requirements
- Valid Class 2 (Cat C) licence
- Valid CPC
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous Class 2 driving experience
- Refuse/waste experience is preferred
- Good understanding of health and safety
- Reliable and physically fit for the loading aspect of the role
