The Role
As an Investigative Officer within the Central Investigation Team, you will:
- Manage and progress criminal investigations in accordance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
- Gather, review, and evaluate evidence from a variety of sources.
- Conduct witness, victim, and suspect interviews where appropriate.
- Prepare investigation files for criminal justice proceedings.
- Liaise effectively with partner agencies, victims, witnesses, and criminal justice partners.
- Undertake investigative actions to identify, locate, and pursue offenders.
- Ensure investigations are conducted professionally, ethically, and with a focus on victim care.
- Maintain accurate records and utilise police systems to support investigations.
- Contribute to achieving positive outcomes for victims and communities.
