ASSEMBLY TECHNICIAN LONDON

Full Time Permanent Monday–Friday Flexi Hours around Core Business Hours

We’re looking for an Assembly Technician to join a specialist engineering & manufacturing team working with high-value electronic, optical and semiconductor technology.

It’s precision assembly, delicate components and complex systems where quality, accuracy and traceability are critical.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

You’ll be hands‑on, building complex electronic and detector systems to exacting standards.

Your day will include:

  • Precision assembly to detailed Work Instructions
  • Handling delicate, high‑value electronic components
  • Working with BOMs, travellers & controlled documentation
  • Following ESD & contamination‑control procedures
  • Recording build activity through an ERP system
  • Working closely with Warehouse to ensure components are correctly kitted
  • Identifying and reporting issues or deviations
  • Supporting technical queries and production improvements
  • Helping develop and improve Work Instructions
  • Keeping the assembly environment clean, organised & production‑ready

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

You’ll need:

  • Previous electronics, precision or high‑tech assembly experience
  • Excellent attention to detail & manual dexterity
  • Experience handling small, delicate components
  • Ability to follow detailed technical instructions
  • Understanding of ESD control
  • Experience with BOMs, travellers or controlled production documents
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems
  • A genuine right‑first‑time mentality

You’ll be calm, methodical and technically minded — someone who takes pride in getting the detail right.
