Jobstore are seeking a skilled Metal Worker to join one of our clients in Middleton working Monday - Friday 08.00am - 16.00pm.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and be proficient in various metalworking techniques. This role involves fabricating, assembling, and welding metal components to create high-quality products. The successful applicant will be detail-oriented, able to work independently as well as part of a team, and committed to maintaining safety standards in the workplace.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate metal parts and components according to specifications and blueprints.
- Assemble metal structures and products using hand tools and machinery.
- Grind and finish metal surfaces to ensure quality standards are met.
- Operate tooling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Perform welding tasks using various techniques such as MIG, TIG, or stick welding.
- Work with sheet metal to create custom designs as required.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve processes.
