Jobstore are currently looking for an experienced furniture upholsterer for one of our prestigious clients working 07.30-16.30 Monday - Friday in Preston. You will be required to upholster and prepare furniture in-line with customer and product specifications, ensuring the furniture is finished to high standards and manufactured ready for the following stage of manufacture and/or packing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Upholster furniture to customer and product/design specification
  • Carry out quality control checks upon your own work
  • Work well individually or as part of a team
  • Follow instructions and workload issued by the manager
  • You may be required to work in alternative areas of the factory as demand fluctuates
  • Report any damages or scrap
  • Carry out Stock Control Checks as and when required
  • Keep a clean, tidy and organised work environment at all times
  • Keep tools and equipment in good working order
