Jobstore are looking for a CNC Operator for one of our lead clients in Chorley on a temporary to permanent basis working Monday - Thursday 7.30am - 16.30pm, with an early finish on Fridays. The role will consist of daily operations of the pre-production process. Working alongside the production manager, operations and the design team, the role serves as a liaison between product teams.
The ideal candidate must have excellent communication skills along with knowledge and foresight to identify any current or potential design crisis as early as possible, so priorities can be rearranged to mitigate any impact on production timing.
It is the role of the CNC Operator to operate a CNC machine(s) to cut wood materials in-line with customer and product specifications, ensuring the process is completed in a timely manner, ready for the following stage of manufacture and/or packing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Programming
- Attention to detail for material requirements in the Bill of Materials, calculate board quantities and update as needed.
- Using SolidWorks to break out models to individual components and creating individual DXF files from the broken-out panels.
