Jobstore are seeking a motivated and experienced Team Leader for one of our clients to oversee daily operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising staff, ensuring daily production runs efficiently, safely, and to the required quality standards. You will take ownership for developing your people, maintaining smooth operations, and driving a culture where everyone contributes to making each day better than the last. You will be working a rotating shift of 3 on 3 off 6-6 covering both days and nights with a salary of £14.65 per hour plus a 10% shift allowance. In return, you will get 33 days annual holiday plus your Birthday each year.

Duties

  • Oversee all daily production activity to meet quality and productivity targets.
  • Allocate resources effectively to maintain continuous operation (especially in extrusion).
  • Coordinate material flow, ensuring operators can focus on their tasks without disruption.
  • Monitor quality output and minimise waste through proactive problem-solving.
  • Conduct basic fault-finding.
  • Ensure all product is wrapped, labelled, and stored correctly to agreed standards.
  • Maintain discipline in housekeeping, timekeeping, and adherence to procedures.
  • Conduct regular one-to-one coaching, reinforcing good practice and motivating continual learning.
  • Encourage multi-skilling and rotation to broaden team capability.
  • Commit to your own leadership development, attending training and applying new skills in the workplace.
