Jobstore are currently recruiting Class 2 Drivers to join our well-established client based in the Bury area. This is a fantastic temp to perm opportunity offering great rates of pay and room to grow and progress. You will be working Monday - Friday with early starts, delivering across the North West region.
Day to Day Duties
- Operate and drive various Class 2 vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations
- Pick and pack items from the vehicle and handball goods on customer site
- Unloading and sorting orders onsite
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
- Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
Essential Skills
- Hold a valid UK Category C Licence
- No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes
- Have a valid UK CPC Card and UK Digi Card
- Must be able to speak and read a good level of English
- Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills
- Have a good understanding of traffic laws and regulations
- Effective communication skills
Desirable Experience
- Experience driving any commercial vehicles
- Previous experience with multi drop deliveries
- Previous warehouse/picking experience beneficial
- Positive work ethic and good customer service
- Max 6 minor points (for insurance)
- Experience driving rear axle vehicles
