Langham Recruitment is delighted to be supporting an innovative automotive technology company as they look to grow their operations team with the recruitment of a project engineer.
As a Project Engineer you will assist with the planning and management of engineering projects from project kick-off to delivery. You will be responsible for reporting on the status of assigned projects and providing regular updates to the end customer and project lead.
Key Responsibilities
- Support delivery of assigned engineering projects and work packages.
- Assist in project planning activities, including schedules, task tracking, and documentation.
- Liaise with customers and internal stakeholders to gather information and respond to queries under guidance.
- Support preparation of project documentation such as Internal Scope of Supply (ISoS), schedules, and presentations.
- Assist with project tracking and reporting, including schedule updates, basic KPI inputs, and risk logs.
- Support coordination of FAT, installation, commissioning, and SAT activities.
- Work with resource owners to understand availability and support planning activities.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Some experience working in a project, engineering, or technical environment.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Organised and methodical with strong attention to detail.
- Comfortable using project planning and task management tools.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Motivated to learn and take on increasing responsibility.
Desirable
- Degree or HND in Engineering or similar discipline.
- Exposure to automotive, simulation, or complex technical products.
- Familiarity with project tools (e.g. Wrike) or ERP systems (e.g. IFS).
- Interest in developing a career in project engineering or project management.
