We have teamed up with an industry professional who are looking for a Software Development Lead role to join their team! They are expanding due to a restructure in order to build a stronger, more sustainable in-house engineering function.
This role will lead two development teams (a technical platform team and a feature-focused product team) and you’ll balance hands-on development with team leadership within an Agile environment.
Responsibilities- Leading and developing two Agile software teams
- Introducing and embedding TDD and modern engineering practices
- Improving estimation, delivery tracking, and reporting (Jira)
- Being a hands-on leader with the ability to create a people-first, high-performing engineering culture
- Proven experience leading software development teams
- Lead a team of 4 to 6 engineers working with a modern tech stack that includes .NET Core, Azure, React, SQL Server, Azure DevOps, and Docker
- Experience with Agile delivery and Jira
- Passion for TDD (Test Driven Development), unit testing, and quality engineering
- A people-focused leader
- Salary up to 70K
- Hybrid working (3 days a week in Wilmslow)
- 28 days holiday including bank holidays
