Role Overview
- Location: Watford (hybrid – 3 days per week in the office)
- Package: £43,000 salary + benefits
- Industry: Technology / Gambling / Lottery
What You’ll Be Doing
- Reviewing requirements, designs and technical architecture through a quality-first lens
- Planning, designing and executing testing across complex, mixed-technology systems
- Supporting the definition of test strategies alongside QA Leads and wider delivery teams
- Identifying opportunities for test automation and exploratory testing
- Executing tests, managing defects, tracking results and reporting progress clearly
- Acting as a subject matter expert for at least one core system or application
- Driving continuous improvement across QA processes, tools and ways of working
- Supporting QA Leads when required and sharing specialist knowledge across the team
- Ensuring QA standards and processes are followed consistently
- Building strong domain knowledge across retail, digital and regulated environments
Main Skills Needed
- Solid background in QA and testing methodologies, including functional and structural testing
- Strong experience working with SQL, Postman, Putty and Windows/Unix environments
- Hands-on use of tools such as Jira, TestRail, Confluence or similar
- Proven ability in requirements validation, risk-based testing and estimation
- Experience managing test environments and test data end to end
- Good understanding of internet technologies and distributed systems
- Confidence communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Industry certifications such as ISTQB (or equivalent)
