Oliver Valves is a major supplier to the oil and gas industry with its headquarters based in Knutsford, Cheshire. We seek to strengthen our existing sales team by adding an experienced Area Sales Manager to focus on the southern region of the UK, with some international coverage. The successful candidate will be selling a range of instrumentation valves, pipeline and process valves, and valves for the emerging hydrogen industry.
What you’ll be doing:
- Presenting our world‑class product range and capabilities to clients and stakeholders.
- Managing and growing key accounts within your designated territory, working with OEMs, end users, and engineering contractors.
- Selling to instrumentation and piping engineers, as well as key buyers to secure new business and maintain strong relationships.
- Coordinating RFQs through to POs, ensuring seamless communication with internal teams.
- Analysing competitor activity and working with management to develop strategies to stay ahead.
- Securing product approvals at key target accounts, ensuring we remain the supplier of choice.
- Delivering a customer‑focused approach, ensuring client satisfaction at every stage of the sales process.
Who we are looking for:
To be successful for the Area Sales Manager position, you’ll need to live in Watford; have a mechanical engineering background or relevant qualification; and have experience selling valves. You’ll be a results‑driven, strategic thinker who can combine technical expertise with outstanding sales ability and strong negotiation skills, able to open doors and close deals.
