Our client is currently looking to recruit an Estates Surveyor on an initial 6 month contract.
Taunton - Hybrid
£450 per day inside IR35
We are looking for an experienced Estates Surveyor to join our Estates Strategy & Development team, managing a diverse property portfolio of around 4,000 assets including buildings and land.
Within the role you will lead on property transfers and disposals, managing complex estates casework from initial appraisal through to completion. This includes advising on values, appointing agents, developing business cases, and overseeing transactions of up to £1m, ensuring compliance with Section 123 of the Local Government Act 1972.
Working with a long-term strategic focus, you will help ensure the organisation has the right assets in the right places, contributing to asset class reviews and strategic estate planning. The role involves regular site visits, including rural locations, and office attendance at least 2 days per week.
What You’ll Need
- Degree-level education (or equivalent) in a relevant field
- Proven experience in estate management, particularly transfers and disposals
- Ability to work at pace and manage competing priorities
- Desirable: MRICS / Associate status
- Recent Local Government experience
