We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias) to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our site, carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance while responding effectively to a variety of electrical and mechanical issues. You will be a motivated and adaptable engineer with a strong methodical approach to fault-finding and problem-solving. You should be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team, with a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety, efficiency, and reliability. This is a national role with regular travel. Your local base can be either of our Normanton or Stoke facilities.
What will you be doing?
- Diagnose and repair a wide range of electrical and mechanical faults.
- Conduct planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
- Respond to reactive maintenance tasks across the site.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings as required.
- Work with the wider Operations, Engineering & Maintenance team - UK & Global.
- Work to maintenance schedules provided through the CMMS.
- Manage and prioritise multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ensure all work is completed to the highest safety and quality standards.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- NVQ Level 3 or higher in Electrical Engineering / Electrical Maintenance Engineering (or equivalent).
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification.
- Inspection & Testing qualification (City & Guilds 2391).
- NAPIT/NICEIC registration to certify own work.
- LOTO (Lock Out Tag Out) trained.
- CMMS Experience.
- Strong fault-finding skills across 12V–415V circuits, including single-phase DC and three-phase AC systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings.
- PLC programming experience is advantageous but not essential.
