SQL Server Developer β Β£600βΒ£700/day (Inside IR35) β 12-month contract. Our client, a leading Investment Management firm, is looking for a hands-on SQL Server Developer to join a highly technical in-house data team. This role is SQL-first and suited to someone who enjoys working day-to-day with complex SQL Server environments β designing, tuning and troubleshooting data solutions in a financial services context.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing and optimising complex SQL Server solutions (T-SQL, stored procedures, indexing, performance tuning)
- Working with large, business-critical datasets
- Supporting and enhancing ETL and batch processes
- Investigating and resolving performance and data issues in production
- Collaborating closely with analysts and stakeholders to translate requirements into robust SQL solutions
Essential Experience
- Strong, hands-on SQL Server development experience
- Proven performance tuning and query optimisation skills
- Experience working with ETL processes (e.g. SSIS or similar)
- Financial services or investment management background
