Our client is a respected UK business undergoing a major IT transformation, investing significantly in modern infrastructure to drive efficiency, resilience, and long-term digital capability. The Senior Infrastructure Engineer will play a pivotal role within a lean, high-impact IT team. You’ll lead infrastructure operations, guide project delivery, and act as a senior escalation point—all while mentoring others and embedding a proactive, secure, and scalable IT environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage operations across Microsoft 365, Intune, Azure AD, Nutanix, and Windows Server
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of infrastructure projects aligned to strategic goals
- Act as senior point for 2nd/3rd line support and incident resolution
- Champion compliance with ISO 27001, GDPR, and Cyber Essentials Plus
- Drive improvements in ITIL processes, documentation, and automation
Requirements
- 5+ years in infrastructure/system engineering, ideally in multi-site/enterprise settings
- Deep knowledge of Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Nutanix or VMware, Veeam, and core networking
- Strong communicator with mentoring experience and a proactive mindset
- Proven project leadership and advanced troubleshooting skills
- An analytical, structured approach to incidents and continuous improvement
