A leading energy client is recruiting Commercial Engineers in your local area for a structured transient role with the possibility to work away from home 1–2 weeks per month. This is a commercial-only role with strong earning potential and a healthy work–life balance.
Essential Qualifications
- Proven UK-based industry experience
- Valid CCN1 & MET1 qualifications
Roles
- Elite Dual Fuel Engineer – £43,260 basic | OTE £50K–£55K includes Warrant Officer duties and customer-friendly debt resolution visits. Full training and ongoing support provided.
- Dual Fuel Only (Non-Elite) – £38,110 basic. Focused purely on commercial metering — no warrant or debt-related work.
What the Role Offers
- Commercial sites only – no domestic installs
- No on-call rota – evenings and weekends are yours
- Structured weekday shifts: 6–3 | 8–5 | 11–7
- Clear career progression with upskilling in: Three-Phase CT Medium Pressure metering
Transient Working Overview
- Work away from home 1–2 weeks per month
- Contractually aligned to Transient 1 or Transient 2
- Exact pattern agreed at interview stage
Typical Transient Week
- Travel on Sunday
- Work Monday–Thursday (8:00am–7:00pm)
- Return home Friday
Pay & Allowances
- All travel time paid at overtime rates (x1.5 / x1)
- £25 per night sustenance allowance
- £40 per night transient payment
- Paid for each night spent working away from home
