We are working with a major industrial engineering organisation delivering complex projects into heavy manufacturing and metals environments. This role would suit a Project Engineer who combines strong technical capability with a commercial mindset, and who enjoys being involved in both project delivery and customer-facing activity.
The role:
- Deliver engineering projects from initial enquiry and concept through to installation, commissioning and handover
- Act as the technical interface between customers, internal engineering teams, suppliers and site operations
- Support pre‑sales and tender activity, providing technical input, scoping, feasibility and cost support
- Attend customer meetings, site surveys and technical reviews
- Produce and manage technical documentation, specifications, drawings and project plans
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to quality standards
- Identify opportunities for additional works, upgrades or value-added solutions during project execution
What we’re looking for:
- HNC / HND or higher in Mechanical, Electrical or related Engineering discipline
- Experience delivering projects within heavy engineering, metals, manufacturing or industrial plant environments
- Exposure to customer-facing engineering roles, technical sales support or tendering
- Strong commercial awareness with the confidence to discuss technical solutions with customers
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Comfortable working in a site-based, operational environment
