About The Role
This senior Project Manager role reports to the General Manager and will support the procurement and mobilisation of a significant public sector customer engagement. The work spans multiple streams, including legal, operations, finance and pricing, suppliers and vendors, human resources, communications/PR, and risk. The role is based in London with occasional travel to Bradford; hybrid work is offered (3 days per week in office). This role requires a security clearance process (you must have lived in the UK for 5 consecutive years to be eligible) and a DBS check. Do not apply if you are not willing to undergo these conditional background checks.
This role is a 6 month FTC.
Responsibilities
- Deliver complex programmes for government agencies or in heavily regulated environments (advantageous).
- Manage procurement, sub-contractor engagement, and supply chain management.
- Balance firmness and clarity with strong customer care to ensure the customer feels heard, supported, and well serviced, while maintaining clear boundaries.
- Demonstrate gravitas, sound judgement, and sincerity with strong execution capability; be action-oriented, highly organized, an effective communicator, and self-directed.
- Work with an internal project lead and document a repeatable delivery playbook to support future engagements and enable consistency over time.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Project Manager or in a senior project management role, 10+ years.
- Relevant certifications such as PMP or PRINCE2 are highly desirable.
- Demonstrated success in leading and delivering complex projects on time, within budget, and with high client satisfaction.
- Effective problem-solving abilities and capability to manage a busy but varied workload.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
