We develop, own, and operate solar projects that generate reliable, clean energy. Responsibilities & Duties
- Daily monitoring of plant health through SCADA systems, reviewing system-generated alarms to identify any technical issues or potential underperformance.
- Calculation of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and other relevant performance metrics for the sites under your responsibility (e.g., Availability, Performance Ratio, etc.).
- Conducting data analysis to identify the root cause of issues and assess their impact on overall performance.
- Collaboration with Asset Managers and the Performance & Monitoring Team to track and resolve known issues.
- Preparation of regular performance reports that present key performance data and provide explanations for any underperformance, including details of technical issues, underperformance events, and completed maintenance work.
- Assisting in continuous improvement initiatives by developing new tools to streamline data analysis and automate reporting (such as scripts for automating manual calculations, improving data manipulation, or creating automated reports and dashboards).
- Performing any other tasks as required in the course of the role.
Qualifications and Experience
- While direct experience in solar energy generation is not absolutely essential, candidates will benefit from a basic understanding of the following:
- Fundamental principles of electricity generation.
- Key components of photovoltaic (PV) plants and their operational methods.
- Performance indicators for PV plants, such as Performance Ratio (PR) and availability.
- Basic data flows associated with SCADA and monitoring systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite applications.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- High attention to detail is crucial.
- Strong written communication abilities.
- Competence in presentation and visualisation.
- Excellent organisational skills and effective time management.
- Ability to work well within a team and communicate effectively.
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently as well as under supervisory guidance.
Qualifications: A degree at undergraduate level or higher is desirable but not essential.
