We are partnered with a specialist semiconductor company focused on delivering breakthrough high-speed signaling technology and advanced interconnect solutions. They are seeking an experienced Analog Design Engineer to contribute to the next generation of custom analog circuits for their multi-gigabit SerDes transceivers. This is a permanent position based in Reading, UK.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the design, modeling, and verification of custom analog circuits for high-speed SerDes transceivers.
  • Design and verify complex analog circuits, adhering to defined design flows, documentation, and architecture specifications.
  • Support the integration of analog IP and full-chip development, collaborating closely with digital design, layout, and verification teams.
  • Design high-speed circuits, including equalizers, clock generators, CDR circuits, ADCs, and serializers/output drivers.
  • Support customer-facing activities, including requirements clarification and performance reporting.

Key Requirements

  • Expertise in high-speed circuit design, including oscillators, PLLs, DLLs, and building blocks such as amplifiers, buffers, regulators, ADCs, and DACs.
  • Strong understanding of transistor-level fundamentals and wireline communications.
  • Skilled in designing high-speed analog SerDes circuits, including DFT, DFM, and ESD protection.
  • Advanced user of EDA tools for analog design and verification (preferably Cadence Virtuoso) for simulation, extraction, and reliability checks (LVS/DRC).
  • Experience with modern semiconductor technologies, preferably FinFET-based nodes.
